Prague is one of our favorite cities. This is an excellent place to shop for Christmas, a city made for walking with the most beautiful shops selling marionettes and famous Czech glass. The people are so friendly and most speak English but try a little Czech, the lack of vowels makes it quite a challenge.
This city, not of one-hundred, but of five-hundred spires, still has most of the towers that protected it's city walls. Walk the Charles Bridge, a 600 year old marvel of engineering and art. Walk through some of the blocks away from the main tourist areas and you can still can find Soviet style architectural facades. See if you can find the birthplace of Antonin Dvorak, it may surprise you. Can you find what might have been the inspiration for Darth Vader?
Dining is a highlight and a bargain, the best wines, the best food, and for next to nothing. Stop into an underground pub for some of the best beer in the World. Bring an empty suitcase so you can take your Christmas shopping home. You will dream of this place for the rest of your life.
